FDCI Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week: Karisma Kapoor Turns Showstopper for Designer Sanjukta Dutta

Adroit Designer Sanjukta Dutta who is known for designing beautiful Mekhla Chador and reviving the Silk of Assam, showcased her new collection “Morom” at FDCI Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week on 14th March. Bollywood fashionista and Actress Karisma Kapoor looked elegant in a stunning black Mekhla Chador highlighted with red embroidery as she walked the ramp for Designer Sanjukta Dutta. The look was completed with exquisitely designed jewellery by Narayan Jewellers by Ketan and Jatin Chokshi.
“I am so happy to showcase my new Autumn Winter collection at the FDCI Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week. It is an amazing platform to promote the weaves and designs of Assam”, shared Designer Sanjukta Dutta. She further added, “It’s lovely to work with the beautiful Karisma Kapoor for FDCI. She is looking so stunning in the Mekhla Chador. I have been working with women weavers of Assam for last 7 years now and when they see such renowned faces wearing what has been woven by them, they feel very proud and happy”.
“It is such a wonderful cause and Sanjukta does a lot of work to promote women empowerment. She has done a lot for women in Assam. She has given 500 women an opportunity to work and make these wonderful handloom pieces. I love bright colours and I see today as the perfect occasion to wear bright colour”, shared Actress Karisma Kapoor.
