Epari Sadashiv Jewellers collaborates with actor, comedians to promote its mega draw event
Retailer leverages the power of celebs to drive conversations around a brand, for an event that featured a fashion show, comedy show and a plethora of fun activities. The grand prize was a Honda Elevate car
Bhubaneshwar: Epari Sadashiv Jewellers, a leading jewellery brand from Odisha, recently held a mega draw event, featuring an innovative collaboration with Odisha’s premier comedy club, Comedy Highway, to engage customers. According to the brand, the event was a major success, with strong participation and positive feedback from attendees. The partnership with the comedy club saw the brand collaborating with renowned comedians like Satyabrat Mohapatra, Barsha Mishra and Ashish Kumar, who appeared in reels to promise the audience “unlimited fun, frolic and laughter at the mega draw” in the weeks before the event.
The brand leveraged the fact that actors and comedians have a strong social media presence and loyal followers, and they can drive conversations around a brand, be it on social media or a live event. In the days leading up to the mega draw, the brand publicized the event widely across its social media platforms. It also brought in actor Elina Samantray, who works in Odia films, to promote the mega draw that included a fashion show, comedy show and other fun activities. In a reel posted by Epari Sadashiv Jewellers, the actor appealed to customers to join her at the event, and enjoy all the fun activities lined up by the brand.
The mega draw, which was held at the Railway Auditorium in Bhubaneswar, was open to regular customers who had made purchases at Epari stores. For every Rs 30,000 spent on any jewellery segment—be it gold, silver or diamond—customers received a coupon that made them eligible to enter the draw.
The prizes at stake were substantial, with the grand prize being a Honda Elevate car, alongside several gold and silver coin give-aways. The event attracted many loyal customers who had been part of Epari Sadashiv Jewellers’ growing customer base.
Talking to the Retail Jeweller India, Sridhar Epari, Managing Director of Epari Sadashiv Jewellers, said that the company plans to make this event an annual tradition. “The response was very good, and we are excited to continue this initiative. Our goal is to make this a yearly event to celebrate our customers and further engage with them,” Epari said.
The success of this year’s mega draw signals Epari’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences and expanding its brand visibility. With more events in the pipeline, the company is poised to continue growing its presence in the competitive jewellery market. The brand also plans to expand its marketing efforts through more collaborations and exciting campaigns.
The parent company of Epari Sadashiv Jewellers was founded in 1921. It is now run by third generation family jewellers, and operates two stores located at Bhubaneswar and Balasore in Odisha.
