Coloured gemstones mining giant FURA Gems co-sponsors Filmfare OTT Awards 2023

With fastest mine-to-market production and a pioneering provenance system, the association with the awards ceremony will enable FURA Gems to spread the story of rare coloured gemstones

Mumbai: India’s vast OTT fandom swooned over the coveted black lady on November 26 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. This time, FURA Gems, the coloured gemstone miner specializing in Colombian emeralds, Mozambican rubies, Mozambican Pink Sapphires and Australian sapphires, co-sponsored the gala event that witnessed a star-studded congregation of the who’s who of the OTT industry.

Coloured gemstones are shining brighter than ever, with end-consumers across age groups raking up the demand both for heirloom pieces and pretwear. Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires being the undisputed top choices now have the luxury of exclusive variants from legacy mines of Colombia, Mozambique, and Australia by FURA Gems, promising a spectrum of colours and thus, vistas in Jewellery fashion never seen before.

Starting operations in 2017, FURA Gems has achieved the milestone of being the first and only miner to mine three precious coloured gemstones, that too with the fastest recorded mine-to-market production capacity. The mining giant has introduced a state-of-the-art provenance system that is proving to be immensely useful for its partners in extending sustainable transparency to end-consumers.

Alia Bhatt and Manoj Bajpayee received Best Actor awards for their roles in Darlings and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, respectively. This apart, critically acclaimed Hindi original series and films vied for the top spot at the 4th edition of the Filmfare OTT Awards, with Vikramaditya Motwane’s Jubilee, Hansal Mehta’s Scoop, and Vasan Bala’s Monica, O My Darling winning top laurels. Other notable winners were Kohrra and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.

Dev Shetty, Founder & CEO, FURA Gems Inc., co-presented the award for Best Supporting Actor, Series (Drama) – Female to actor Tillotama Shome for her role on ‘Delhi Crimes 2’, airing on Netflix. Speaking about the association, Shetty said, “Since the past three years, the Filmfare OTT Awards has proven to be the biggest national platform to recognize established and rising talents. FURA Gems is proud to be a part of this gala event of fashion, showbiz, and talent, and will bring in more Colours to the audiences with this collaboration”  

Hosted by Kubbra Sait and Sharib Hashmi, the gala awards night also spotted celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur, Shruti Haasan, Divya Dutta, Pratik Gandhi, and Jackie Shroff. Apart from FURA Gems, The Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 was co-powered by Hyundai Motor India, AJIO, and Film Bandhu (Government of Uttar Pradesh) in association with ITC Fiama.
