CKC Jewellers vaccinate entire staff and household with NHH Hospitals, Bengaluru
Creating an umbrella of healthcare and safety not only for the staff but also for buyers walking in, CKC’s initiative will ensure that all its employees will be vaccinated before they begin working after lockdown.
Breaking the chain of Covid-19 infection, CKC Jewellers initiated a mass vaccination drive for its staff and their family members. In association with Narayana Hrudayalaya Health Hospitals, Bangalore, the brand got all of its staff members vaccinated on Tuesday.
The noble initiative was also extended to the spouses of the staff working and anyone else living at the homes of the respective CKC employee. Speaking about the programme, Chaitanya V Cotha, Executive Director at 150 Year C Krishniah Chetty Group Of Jewellers, said, “Since the entire country is trying to get slots of vaccine through the Cowin app, we have often witnessed difficulties in reserving slots. This situation prompted us to partner with the Bengaluru faction of NHH Hospitals to carry out this drive.”
Creating an umbrella of healthcare and safety not only for the staff but also for buyers walking in, CKC’s initiative will ensure that all its employees will be vaccinated before they begin working after lockdown. This guarantees safe one-on-one interactions in-store between any CKC staff and a potential customer.
Two impressive initiatives by the brand are ongoing. One is about their in-store customer awareness drive. Potential customers undergo a thorough check-up before entering any CKC showroom, after which they are asked if they are vaccinated. In the event that someone is not vaccinated, s/he is requested to provide detailed information about location, domestic/international travel history, health conditions and others for the purpose of ensuring a high level of safety of everyone inside the showroom. “We are requesting each person walking in to get vaccinated as soon as possible,” said Cotha.
The other initiative is their broad Covid-19 safety measure guideline on their website. Mentioning only few of perhaps the most elaborate details provided by any jewellery brand on public domain, the brand has outlined how its valet drivers sanitize door knobs, steering wheels and other parts of their clients’ cars. For pick-and-drop services, the brand has fresh white covers for rear seats in every CKC car.
This apart, WHO-certified staff overlook at minute violations of safety norms at the CKC showrooms. Ultrasonic, UV machines and hot air cleaners are used to clean jewellery pieces and each showroom has fresh masks for the buyer’s use. In association with Care on Call Bangalore, the brand has also arranged for RT PCR, Antibody and Antigen tests for its staff at its premises and at the employees’ addresses at discounted rates on case-by-case basis.
