Nagpur: Parekh Brothers Jewellers became the title sponsor for Chidiyaghar 4.0, a children’s flea market event organized by the Nagpur Ladies’ Circle (NLC) on February 2 to raise funds for community development initiatives, while also bringing families together for a day of fun and entertainment.

NLC’s Chidiyaghar is a platform dedicated to charity, focusing on the construction of schools, toilet blocks and other essential infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for underserved communities. Through various activities, it supports the development of educational and community projects to uplift disadvantaged individuals. Association with this initiative reflects Parekh Brothers’ commitment to giving back to society and contributing to the growth of infrastructure and education for those in need.

As a family-owned business with nearly a century-long legacy, Parekh Brothers Jewellers is deeply invested in the welfare of the communities it serves, says Matisha Parekh, Head of Sales & Marketing, Parekh Brothers Jewellers. “We have always believed in making a meaningful impact on society. Our involvement with Chidiyaghar reflects our ongoing efforts to improve access to education and essential facilities for the underserved,” she said.

The Chidiyaghar 4.0 event, held at Chitnavis Centre in Nagpuron February 2, 2025, was a day of games, live music and entertainment, all while supporting social welfare initiatives. Parekh Brothers Jewellers had a strong presence at the event, displaying a selection of lightweight jewellery to cater to the visitors. With estimated footfalls of around 1,500, the event served as an excellent opportunity for the brand to enhance its visibility within the local community.

“The event saw around 1,500 visitors, and the experience was positive. As expected, it was primarily focused on brand-building, helping people become familiar with the brand,” said Parekh. “We didn’t bring many products since it was an open-air flea market. We only brought a limited selection, like rings and tops. There weren’t any significant sales expected, but it served to promote the store. A few products were displayed, giving people who hadn’t visited the store a chance to get a sense of the design. This could help increase foot traffic in the future. But people really loved our products, and the event was a success.”

Parekh emphasized that the brand’s objective was to help raise funds for vital causes such as building school facilities and improving sanitation. “It’s an opportunity for us to give back to the community that has supported our journey over the years,” she stated.

Founded in 1925, Parekh Brothers Jewellers is a family-owned business that has flourished over the decades. It now has two stores in Nagpur.
