Brand Director Siddharth Adeshra said there was no business agenda beyond team-building during the marathon experience, and encouraging employees to take part in a fun wellness exercise outside the office

Jamshedpur: A team of staffers from jewellery retailer Keshavji Chhaganlal Jewellers recently participated in the Tata Steel ‘Run for Fun’ Marathon in Jamshedpur recently, led by Siddharth Adeshra, Director, Keshavji Chhaganlal Jewellers. Notably, the event was not tied to any formal business promotion by the jeweller. The company’s only agenda was team-building with the marathon experience and providing its staffers with a fun wellness exercise outside the office premises.

“I’ve been participating in the Jamshedpur marathon for years now,” said Siddharth Adeshra. “It’s a well-organized event, thanks to Tata Steel, and I wanted my team to be a part of it as well.” Adeshra, a keen marathoner, emphasized that the goal was to provide the team with a bonding experience similar to the traditional picnics or night-outs many businesses organize. The staff were given custom-made jerseys, with the jeweller’s branding on them.

Adeshra made it clear that there was no promotional activity or business agenda associated with his team’s participation.

After the race, the participants enjoyed a lively atmosphere with music and dancing, making it a few hours of fun before returning to work. Although there was no commercial interest vested in the team’s marathon run, the team members encouraged any media interested in the event to reach out for more details about the brand.
