Brand head releases short video emphasizing community engagement and support for health and fitness through its medal sponsorship for the event for the last two years
Mangalore: SL Shet Jewellers & Diamond House, the official medal sponsor, brought an added sparkle to the Niveus Mangalore Marathon (NMM) 2024, held on November 10 in Mangalore. M. Prashanth Shet, Co-owner of SL Shet Jewellers and Diamond House, shared insights into the artistry behind the medals awarded to participants through a video posted on Instagram. Each medal, crafted with care and precision, symbolizes the hard work and dedication of every runner, designed to celebrate their incredible achievements, Shet said.
The third edition of the Niveus Mangalore Marathon follows the earlier two successful editions organized by the Mangalore Runners Club. It drew over 5,000 participants of all ages and backgrounds to the coastal city, who transformed the vibrant streets of Mangalore into a sea of blue. International participation was a highlight of this year’s marathon, with runners from Denmark, Ethiopia, Kenya, Spain, and Japan joining the excitement.
At the finish line, each runner received a commemorative medal made by SL Shet Jewellers and Diamond House, featuring the intricate art of Kambala, symbolizing strength, endurance and cultural pride, thus reflecting the theme of NMM 2024.
The partnership with the Mangalore Marathon is of much relevance to the jeweller, as it is a significant community activity in the city, involving participants from all walks of life. The medal sponsorship opened avenues for the brand to conduct community engagement activities, evident from the promotional content pushed by the brand as a collaborative post, featuring the brand owner himself.
In the promotional clip, Shet talks of the joy his brand derives from the partnership. “The Mangalore Marathon has been conducted yearly for three years now. Our brand has been associated with it for the last two years. We wish to continue collaborating with the initiative as their medal sponsors,” he says. He emphasizes the importance of such activities in raising awareness about health and fitness.
S.L. Shet Jewellers & Diamond House was founded by Late Subraya Lakshman Shet over seven decades ago in 1947. The brand has grown steadily with its opulent store in a bustling neighborhood of Mangalore city.
