‘We will look for innovative collections at the IIJS’

Sanjay, AVR Swarnmanhah, Salem, talks to Samit Bhatta, publisher of The Retail Jeweller India magazine about his expectations at IIJS
What are your expectations in terms of products at the IIJS?
We are very excited as we were doing things virtually. We want to meet people as nothing beats that. We will exchange thoughts and ideas and looking out for new lightweight designs. The customer preference has changed now. We will look for innovative collections.
The show is happening in south India for the first time. What are your views on that?
It is very convenient for us. Earlier, it would happen in June and July when it would be Mumbai in Mumbai. Bangalore is well placed and well connected too. It’s a better option for us. IIJS has been a luxury. When I came to the business 20-25 years back, it was so tough to find vendors and the kind of supplies according to expectations. Now everything is coming under one platform. It is very easy to compare and buy. It’s a nice facilitation.
