Gradient Collection offers a palette of colour set to Perfection

Art, culture and colour all come together to inspire this debut collection ‘Gradient ’, where hues of coloured gemstone dictate the movement of eye. Art Deco meets simple line motifs, enhanced with coloured gemstone from Mother Nature and designed for the individual personality of the modern women of today. Handpicked selection of lustrous gemstone like Amethyst, Green & Pink Tourmalines, Aquamarines, Tsavorites, Emeralds, Rubies, Peridots, Citrine, Blue Topaz and more, are set individually or in combination moving from dark to light, complimented by pave set diamond. Each gemstone is caliber cut to meet the design specification in various sizes of tapered baguettes, enhancing the fire in each gemstone and to achieve the perfect colour gradation. The collection is available in assortment of earrings, bracelets, rings, pendants and cufflinks in a variety of gemstones with infinite color combinations.

Chic and utterly charming, Vaibhav’s colourful designs infuse fine jewellery with joy. Perhaps the bravest and most joyous to observe are the multi-coloured delights whose pastel palate is perfectly on-trend for the coming seasons. Modern Indian women are becoming more adventurous and we are seeing coloured gemstones making an entry. “She has everything and wants to be different and unique. She wants to shine and breakout from the crowd and be different”, says Vaibhav. There are extraordinary colors in semi-precious gemstones that don’t exist in precious gemstones. “Through our Jewels, we aim to make woman look elegant and glamorous.”

Two baguette gemstones perfectly channel set without a gap between them can be a result of hours of careful work which is why The Gradient Collection simple as it may look, actually reveals a superior craftsmanship. “I was captured by tapered baguettes at first sight while working at Christian Dior. I knew they were a challenge to set as the stones are brittle and fragile.”
With the advent of technology in the jewellery making where pieces are completely machine made this collection is a refreshing break, where the human eye and hand plays the most important role. “It took us 6 years to get the perfect gradient cuts & shades and channel set them to create patterns”, says Vaibhav.

Vaibhav’s Background

After graduating from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and completing his Masters in International Business from Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France, Vaibhav worked as a Retail Store Manager for Dior Homme at DLF Emporio Mall, Delhi, where he was struck by the beauty of Dior VIII Grand Ball watches collection. It was there he got inspired to make his own jewelry collection using precise gemstones cutting and channel setting techniques. He then moved to Jaipur where he could join his family business as a second generation jeweler.

“If you’re going to work, you want to enjoy it- make a product that you really enjoy selling or owning.” says Vaibhav. Currently, Vaibhav has four collections- Gradient, Cufflinks, Cameo Jewellery, Plique-a-jour Pink Enamel- which are available in assortment of earrings, bracelets, rings, pendants and cufflinks in a variety of gemstones with infinite color combinations. Extensive travelling helps him establish a mood-board, symbolic of the places he visits around the world. He lives with his wife Shruti and parents in Jaipur, where he proudly designs and makes all his pieces.
