Initially, the jeweller decided to live stream the talk show on the various social media platforms but later they decided to record the show and make 4 series out of the recordings which got uploaded in the official Youtube channel. However, due to the limitations arising out of the pandemic, it was not possible to organise a live interaction with the audiences.
Speaking about the initiative, Abhishek Bafna, Sales and Marketing Manager, Ratanlal C Bafna Jewellers said, “Previously, women used to be only known and ‘homemakers’ because they used to take care of the family and unlike their male counterparts, they did not go out to work. But today, the time has changed. Apart from taking care of their respective families, they are also managing offices. During the lockdown, we have observed that the women were the most affected as all the family members were at home and their entire day was spent to fulfil their demands. Families, where there is only one woman, had to singlehandedly do the household chores because many times the housemaids were allowed to enter the residential premises. So, there were going through a lot of stress and the objective behind the talk show was to raise the issue of mental health and their empowerment. So, it was an honest effort by us to do something for them.”
In the first talk show, titled ‘Women Empowerment and Development’, the mother-daughter duo of Neelam More (Moderator) and Priyanka More (Speaker) took the centre stage and talked about the importance of being prepared for the future and that ladies should be prepared for difficult days. According to the speaker, it is important to acquire skills in life which will help her to get success.
In the second talk show, titled ‘How to live Happy Family Life’, Dr Shubhada Diwan focussed on the issues arise for a working wife. According to the speaker, if the husbands want a working wife then it is the responsibility of the male person to divide the work equally between both of them. The husbands should also help their wives in household chores.
Speaking on the topic, ‘Optimism in Life’ speaker, RJ Ayesha, said that women can start a new career after marriage. During the conversation, she gave her example and said that she became a Radio Jockey after marriage and has achieved success in her profession. According to her, marriage is not the end of dreams for a girl but it can also be a new start.
In the fourth talk show, titled ‘Women’s Mental Health’, the speaker Dr Kaveri Chougule spoke about the importance of mental health for a woman. The speaker said that during home quarrels it is the woman who is the most affected because they have a different mindset.
