The brand is rolling out a marketing campaign spanning digital promotions, out-of-home advertising and extensive bus branding across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Vadodara 

Mumbai: To drive growth through engagement with a wider audience and turn India’s cricket mania to its advantage, lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Solitario Diamonds has associated with Gujarat Giants, one of the five teams playing in the ongoing Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, as team sponsor. Ricky Vasandani, CEO & Co-Founder, Solitario Diamonds, says this association offers the brand an opportunity to connect with millions of cricket fans across India. 

“This is the first time we are partnering with any sports team or league. We are now associated with the Vadodara-based Gujarat Giants team, owned by Adani Sportsline, and we will have our branding on the ground,” Vasandani states, referring to the third edition of the premier women’s T20 league, conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), that is being held across four cities – Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai – from February 14 to March 15. All matches are being streamed live on JioHotstar, adding to visibility for the brand.

Pointing out the brand’s objectives, Vasandani says, “Our partnership with Gujarat Giants is a strategic step towards strengthening our brand presence. By aligning with a dynamic sports team, we aim to position Solitario as a leading name in lab-grown diamonds. Ultimately, this partnership will help us accelerate market expansion, increase customer engagement, and drive business growth.” 

As part of the association, Solitario Diamonds is hosting the Gujarat Giants team players at a special ceremony in Bengaluru on February 25, where Vasandani will present each team member with a tennis bracelet. “This gesture is not just a token of appreciation but a reflection of Solitario’s belief in empowering women and celebrating their success,” remarks Vasandani. According to him, given that Gujarat is the diamond capital of India, the partnership seems a natural fit, celebrating not just cricket but also the brilliance, resilience and achievements of women across fields.

With stadium branding, in-game digital integrations, and high-impact activations, Solitario aims to be front and centre as the tournament unfolds. The brand is also focusing heavily on digital platforms, leveraging live-streaming and social media to maintain engagement throughout the WPL season. 

Besides Gujarat Giants, the other teams playing in the Tata WPL 2025 are Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians, UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals, making the tournament an exciting prospect for both viewers and brands.  

Solitario Diamonds has a retail presence of 18 stores and 21 shop-in-shops across 22 cities (in eight countries), including Dubai, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur and multiple locations in India.
