Retailers Share Experiences of Spreading Joy Through Online Shopping
Retailers share anecdotes of going the extra mile to cater to customers’ unique needs, transcending geographical boundaries, and delivering moments of happiness and love through the digital medium of selling jewellery online.
- ‘We sent custom-made Tanzanite ring on Nepal man’s Insta request’
“A new customer from Nepal reached out to us on Instagram saying that he was planning to propose to his partner, who had a deep connection to the gemstone Tanzanite, but he couldn’t find any jewellery with Tanzanite in the local market. We took it upon ourselves to create a custom-designed engagement ring using Tanzanite. We shared design options over video calls, and took two weeks to make the ring; we even shared making-of-the-ring videos. Despite international shipping and communication challenges, we delivered the unique ring to the customer’s doorstep just in time for his proposal. The customer expressed immense gratitude and shared photos of his partner’s joyful acceptance.”

- ‘Chennai couple read our reviews online, came to Delhi to buy from us’
“We got a call from a customer from Chennai this April. Impressed by our 4.9-star reviews on Google, a South Indian couple wanted to buy a diamond-studded engagement ring from us. Despite Chennai being a big platinum market, they came all the way to Delhi to buy a very simple platinum ring with diamonds and returned to Chennai the same day after shopping. They said they saw very little variety in their hometown, and here they had enough to choose from as we had 500+ designs. They loved our variety, and because of the digital world, we could reach out to them and convert them into lifetime customers.”

- ‘Team took extra care with customer’s online order and a personal request’
“During a holiday season surge in online sales, we received an order for a diamond necklace and earrings set from a new customer from Delhi itself, who had been saving up for months to buy it for her daughter’s wedding. The customer left a note to us on WhatsApp, saying her daughter had been going through a difficult time and she hoped the jewellery would bring her comfort & remind her of her strength. We sent the set with a note and the customer was overjoyed, saying it would be treasured for life.”

- “We booked and delivered an online solitaire ring order in a record five days’
“A bride-to-be saw a 0.70-carat solitaire ring with a matte-cum-glossy finish in rose gold on our website and called our showroom. She was from Katni near Jabalpur, & her engagement was five days away. Crying on the phone, she told us that the ring her family had bought was not of her choice design. We took the order as a challenge and sent the ring in 5 days. We sent the ring with a gift and bouquet Finally, we delivered the ring to her, leaving the customer just two hours before her engagement, with a gift overwhelmed with happiness”
