But earlier it was not liked by any professional institute for practical knowledge. With the changing time, demand from the industry & scope of work, we have decided to tie up with PNG Sons which has 190 years experience in the jewellery industry. This is a strategic partnership to enable our students industry ready when they complete the course. And can work with jewellery companies or can do freelancing. This is a two years jewellery designing diploma course.
Demand for skilled jewellery designers is growing worldwide and the industry is facing a shortage of skilled designers. Elaborating on the MOU, Aditya Modak CFO-CMO, PNG Sons said, “Demand for designer jewellery is growing as customers are now choosier and fashionable. So, today’s design may not be relevant in future. Considering the change, we have moved further for the betterment of the jewellery industry. Students will understand the practicality, market demand and actual crafting. This will make them industry ready as professionals.
This is the first of its kind initiative in the education and jewellery industry. This course has more practical knowledge, discussion with craftsmen, hands on experience, visits etc. Their design can be made in actual jewellery based on its practicality which is a beauty of this course,’ Prashant Ghokhle, Director JRVGT mentioned.
