PNG & Sons expands collaboration as special partners of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5
This year, the Pune-based regional jewellery brand will gift a trophy and a special prize along with diamond jewellery to the winner
Mumbai: The much popular reality show, Bigg Boss Marathi season 5, went on air just about two weeks back and has been keeping the audience glued to their screens. The Colors TV franchise started with its first season in 2019, reporting a break even in the first season itself. A 40-50% increase in sponsorship was predicted with Bigg Boss Marathi season 2 and consequent seasons. PNG & Sons expanded its collaboration with the Marathi franchise of Colors TV and the show.
“This (Bigg Boss Marathi) is definitely a big property. The reach for this show is huge. Our collaboration with them has helped our brand to expand awareness and build our image in the market — especially the gold and diamond collection from Gargi,” said Aditya Modak, COO and CFO at PNG Sons who are ‘Special Partners’ of the Marathi reality show.
PNG & Sons came on board the Marathi franchise of Colors TV from the very initial seasons and have been their partners ever since. “We have been working with the team for the past couple of years and collaborate with them regularly,” said Modak.
This year, Gargi by PNG has also joined the team. Last year on Bigg Boss Marathi season 4, Dr Renu Gadgil, Director of PNG & Sons, presented a prize worth Rs 10 lakh to the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi season 4, Akshay Kelkar.
This year with Bigg Boss Marathi season 5, the Pune-based regional jewellery brand will gift a trophy and a special prize along with diamond jewellery to the winner. “We have taken a long-term approach and considered the long-term vision. This is a pure-play branding exercise for us. It is helping us build our brand image right now, and we are on board with it,” Modak said.
In terms of promoting the show from brand’s side, Modak said that, “We haven’t pushed it much from our end, as the property (Bigg Boss) is speaking for itself.”
