Chennai: NAC Jewellers has announced the launch of its latest signature range, the Gajah collection. Inspired by our ancient past, the Gajah collection is centered around the elephant motifs that appear in Indian art, architecture, and poetry. The Gajah collection comprises a wide range of jewellery in gold, diamond, and polki featuring elephant motifs and intricate craftsmanship. The range starts from pendant sets, lightweight chains, elegant occasion wear to full bridal sets.
The launch event took place at the Lotus Lounge in the NAC Jewellers store in T.Nagar, beginning with a block printing session showcasing the crafting of artisanal handkerchiefs, and giveaways for the guests. Guests from varied backgrounds such as doctors, entrepreneurs, and influencers attended the event.
Following the block printing session, there was a live music performance by Chennai-based band Staccato. Reflecting the spirit of the collection, the event was a celebration of the cultural symbolism that has served as a source of inspiration for the Gajah collection.
Showcasing the range, NAC Jewellers presented an insightful overview of the Gajah collection with a presentation covering the ideation and creative process behind the collection. Delving into the cultural significance of elephants in India’s art and literature, the presentation showed a glimpse into how these majestic creatures have been interpreted into exquisite jewellery pieces that resonate with both tradition and modernity.
The presentation was followed by an exclusive preview of the Gajah collection for the guests with an interactive session where they can try on the jewellery and interact with expert artisans for a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship, skills and stories behind the collection.
