LFW and DPA present ‘The Real Cut’ Season-3 for India’s emerging jewellery design talent
Diamond Producers Association (DPA) and the Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), India’s biggest fashion stage, are once more presenting an exciting opportunity for the nation’s budding diamond jewellery design talent with the third edition of ‘The Real Cut’. A platform for these jewellery designers to join hands with the best of contemporary fashion, giving winners a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase their designs along with leading fashion labels at the much-awaited LFW 2020 Summer/Resort.
This collaboration underscores the fact that natural diamonds enhance the beauty of couture with their timelessness. Owing to the success of the last two editions of ‘The Real Cut’, the latest edition takes this exclusive partnership one step forward. The contest is open to all the aspiring jewellery designers who have been practicing for a minimum of 3 years and have a flair for creating innovative and visionary designs, showcasing the significance of conscious luxury through natural diamond jewellery. Winners will be chosen by an eminent jury panel, who will evaluate them on parameters ranging from quality, innovation, marketability to originality and ability to take their venture one step ahead. This is an initiative by the diamond industry to encourage and motivate the young and creative talent of the country by helping them showcase their masterpieces on the most prominent ramp, bringing them closer to the everyday consumers.
Richa Singh, Managing Director – India, DPA, said: “We are extremely delighted to announce this partnership growing with the third season of ‘The Real Cut’. This is an initiative by the diamond industry that primarily focuses on showcasing the progressive collection of the emerging jewellery design talent on the country’s biggest ramp. With ‘The Real Cut – Seasons 3’, DPA aims at inviting young jewellery designers to get an exciting opportunity of integrating diamonds in the global movement of ‘Slow Fashion’. DPA is willing to work along with these fresh talents to bring the best of their designs to the world. I hope we get to see some exciting natural diamond jewellery designs on the biggest fashion stage of the country.”
Jaspreet Chandok, Vice-President & Head of Lifestyle – IMG Reliance, said: “We are thrilled with the association as it opens the doors for the entire diamond jewellery design community to interface with the Lakmé Fashion Week.
