Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers adds festive sparkle by lighting up gardens in Coimbatore for Diwali

Continuing its tradition of illuminating city gardens, the brand lit up North Coimbatore and Nanjappa Road Gardens, aiming to bring communities together for the celebration
Coimbatore: Lighting up public spaces across Coimbatore in the run-up to Diwali has been a practice for leading jewellery retailer Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers for years. People gather to capture memorable moments, making the light displays a favourite attraction and a joyful highlight of the season. This year too, continuing its tradition of illuminating city gardens, the brand added festive cheer to North Coimbatore and Nanjappa Road Gardens in Coimbatore by putting up lights for beautification ahead of the Diwali celebrations. “Each year during Diwali, these radiant displays bring a festive glow to the city. They create a joyful atmosphere and bring communities together for the celebration. We want the public to enjoy the enchanting lights with their loved ones,” said Suraj Shantakumar, Director, Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers.
Well-lit gardens can attract more visitors, especially during evenings, and the jeweller’s branding that can be prominently seen at these places, may indirectly lead to higher foot traffic in its showrooms. At another level, these lighting initiatives can foster community pride and engagement, leading to more support for local businesses and initiatives, as well as partnerships with local organizations.

Kirtilal’s also maintains city gardens in Coimbatore as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. In addition, it has a number of other CSR activities, like maintaining traffic islands in Coimbatore, and looking after the Chennai, Vizag, Tirupati and Vijayawada Airport gardens.
Notably, Kirtilal’s maintains parks and landscapes in cities where it doesn’t have a retail presence, including some airports in some of the southern States. On their agenda is a plan to develop and maintain greenery in some schools and colleges.
Ever since the opening of its first store in Raja Street, Coimbatore in 1939, Kirtilal’s has conducted business from an environmentally responsible standpoint, and endeavoured to contribute towards the greater good of the planet. The brand has 14 retail outlets across South India.
