Italian Mall in India – an Italian Trade Agency and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation initiative, in collaboration with Flipkart
Brand names, old and new, ranging from beauty to food, houseware to fashion, and jewellery to leather goods to eyewear, are available for ready purchase at the Italian Mall.
The Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with Flipkart, has launched the Italian Mall project, a one-stop-shop for a wide range of authentic ‘Made in Italy’ products.
The purpose of the progressive marketplace is to allow the Indian consumer to experience ‘Made in Italy’ in its most authentic form. A collaboration between well-established Italian brands and Indian importers, the Italian Mall offers a wide range of products – all delivered with remarkable ease. Brand names, old and new, ranging from beauty to food, houseware to fashion, and jewellery to leather goods to eyewear, are available for ready purchase at the Italian Mall.
A digital window for legitimate Italian products, the Italian Mall simplifies the cross-border shopping experience. It also helps break geographical barriers and is strategically aligned with the welfare of its audience and consumers. Focused on meeting the International needs of Indian consumers, the Italian Mall aims to be a one-stop solution for every shopper seeking Italian products.
Launched in January this year, the Italian Mall (www.flipkart.com/italian-mall-store) currently presents around 50 brands and 800 products to the Indian consumer. The Italian Mall Project is very critical of who sets foot on the mission. The brands applying to the project undergo rigorous due diligence checks. Only then, The Italian Trade Agency chooses brands that inspire and serve diligently. The Italian Trade Agency is currently looking at onboarding more than 100 brands to the Italian Mall, for which collaboration with Indian importers is imperative. Importers in the cosmetics and jewellery sectors are encouraged to reach out to the Italian Trade Agency Mumbai office at www.italiaindia.com/italianmall/ or mumbai@ice.it to be a part of this cross-border initiative.
The Italian Trade Agency is investing heavily in digital solutions across various platforms to promote the Italian Mall effectively. The promotions are creating awareness amongst the Indian consumer about the Mall and aiding in SKU sales significantly. The Agency truly believes in the immense potential of collaboration of this innovative bilateral project.
