This year, Indian designers and jewellers made a striking impact, with iconic pieces adorning some of the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond
The red carpets at the 97th Academy Awards and the Vanity Fair Oscars party were not only a showcase of cinematic excellence but also a stunning display of couture and fine jewellery.
As fashion and fine jewellery continue to merge, this year’s red carpet was a testament to the fact that Indian jewellery brands are no longer just participants but trendsetters in the global luxury landscape.
Goldie Hawn
At the 97th Academy Awards red carpet, American actor Goldie Hawn shone in a buttery gold corset gown, complemented by a statement necklace from Sabyasachi High Jewellery. Her look was completed with a striking combination of diamonds, coloured gemstones, and gold.
Karan Johar
At the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, the director-producer and CEO of Tyaani Jewellery opted for a polki and diamond cross necklace from the brand, which he creatively wore as a bracelet to complement his Gaurav Gupta couture ensemble.
Guneet Monga
Oscar-winning film producer Guneet Monga arrived at the event in a contemporary handwoven tissue sari by Manish Malhotra. Keeping her accessories minimal, she complemented the look with earrings and rings adorned with uncut diamonds and 18k gold from Malhotra’s jewellery collection.
Bela Bajaria
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, attended the event in a breathtaking red saree by renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi. She completed her ensemble with a striking statement necklace and matching earrings from Sabyasachi High Jewellery.
Bhumi Pednekar
To complement her electric blue silk sari, Pednekar chose an exquisite set of sapphire-adorned pieces, including a geometric choker, shoulder-grazing danglers, and a statement cuff from Mahesh Notandass.
Sonam Kapoor
A selection of jewels from Amrapali Jewels enhanced Kapoor’s delicate flapper aesthetic, featuring diamond and pearl studs, a hasli-style pearl-laden neckpiece, and a longer necklace adorned with black diamonds and a sautoir tassel, adding fluidity to the overall look.
Natasha Poonawala
The Executive Director of the Serum Institute of India (SII) complemented her 1983 Karl Lagerfeld Haute Couture Chanel ensemble with velvet clip earrings from Saint Laurent’s fine jewellery collection.
Rashmika Mandanna
The actor sported a pair of gold earrings studded with polkis from Golecha’s Jewels and ear cuffs from Shri Paramani Jewels.
