First phase of Brand India Campaign to focus on exports of textiles, gems and jewellery

New Delhi, 5 Jan (KNN) The Commerce Ministry is planning to launch ‘Brand India Campaign’ for exports of products and services in new markets for exports to grow.
As per an official source, the campaign would be an umbrella campaign for promoting goods and services exported by India.
The campaign will begin with its focus on Indian exports in certain specific sectors such as gems and jewellery, textiles, plantation, products, educations, healthcare, pharma and engineering.
Recently the status of Brand India Campaign of India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) was reviewed by Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.
It is a trust established by the Department of Commerce with the primary objective of promoting and creating international awareness of the ‘Made in India’ label and to facilitate dissemination of knowledge of Indian products and services.
An export-oriented messaging to both buyers and consumers will be the approach of this campaign.
For this, and agency will be selected and a Brand Steering Committee will be set up for the purpose besides creation of f uniform logo identity, development of branding creative (films, TVCs, print ads, digital banners).
