‘Everyone should experience the brilliance that IIJS provides’

Surabhi Shekhar, head of marketing, Mahoharlal Jewellers talks to Samit Bhatta, publisher of The Retail Jeweller India magazine about her expectations from the IIJS
What are your expectations at IIJS with regards to the products?
I expect a variety of things in terms of bridal jewellery, modern contemporary jewellery, how bridal jewellery can be made innovative, not just traditional. I am excited to find out what are the new innovations in gold, diamond, and coloured stones jewellery and how they are coming in trend, how they should be marketed and presented along with different jewellery styles. So, I am really excited.
What is your message to youngsters coming to the show?
As a person who is just joining the jewellery industry, I feel it’s a great time for youngsters to come in because there is so much innovation and creativity from all over the world. We are getting freshness and perspective in our business. Also, IIJS provides everybody with a platform to see everything under one roof. Meeting people and getting to know the business is going to be excellent for young people. So, I would say, do come, don’t miss this opportunity, and enjoy your time. Experience the brilliance that IIJS will provide.
