Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee launches exclusive high jewellery line for Bergdorf Goodman

According an announcement on Facebook by Sabyasachi, the Sabyasachi x Bergdorf Goodman jewellery line launched at the department store ‘Jewelry Salon’ and has international inspirations and uses heritage jewellery-making techniques
USA: Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has created an exclusive jewellery collection for his line ‘Sabyasachi High Jewellery’ to cater to the US market. The collection has launched at luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
The Sabyasachi x Bergdorf Goodman jewellery line has launched at the department store ‘Jewelry Salon’, Sabyasachi announced on Facebook. The collection has international inspirations and uses heritage jewellery-making techniques.

“I’ve been thinking about exoticism- India and the Moulin Rouge, French and Bengal savoir-faire,” announced Mukherjee about the collection on Sabyasachi’s Facebook page. “Marrying the classic with the outrageous, from sombre evening pieces to head-turning statement jewellery. Conjuring tigers, elephants, palms, berries and botanicals- crafted in spectacular gemstones. The precise geometry of watchmaking and the graphic strength of Byzantine mosaics, the symmetry of Mughal gardens were challenged by the asymmetry of modern punk and the confidence of Bengali craftsmanship. This is a kaleidoscopic collection with an unexpected whimsy.”
Designs in the collection include the ‘Bengal Bracelet’ which features two royal Bengal tigers rendered in 18-karat gold and set with multicoloured gemstones and diamonds. A statement palm necklace crafted in 18 karat gold with 36.20 carats of green tourmaline, pearls, and brilliant cut diamonds adds an opulent resort feel to the collection and stacked charms exemplify the eclecticism Sabyasachi is known for in both his clothing and jewellery.
Sabyasachi held a jewellery runway show at the Oberoi in New Delhi in December 2023. The brand retails in showrooms in India, with dedicated jewellery showrooms in Hyderabad and Dubai.
