Champalal Jewellers takes centre-stage as title sponsor of Vellore Fashion Week’s debut edition

A highlight of the show was Miss Universe India, Rhea Singha, walking the ramp adorned in the brand’s signature jewellery pieces
Vellore: On February 16, the city of Vellore witnessed a grand display of fine jewellery at the first edition of Vellore Fashion Week, where jewellery retailer Champalal Jewellers took centre-stage as the title sponsor. The event brought together top designers from major cities like New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai to showcase their collections.
A highlight of the show was the presence of Miss Universe India, Rhea Singha, who walked the ramp adorned in the brand’s signature jewellery pieces.
While the concept of a fashion week is common in Tier-I cities, this event marked a new and unique experience for the people of Vellore. “The town’s elite audience was captivated by the jewellery on display, and Champalal Jewellers successfully made a lasting impression,” said Roshan Singhvi, Managing Director of Champalal Jewellers.
Speaking about the title sponsorship and how the opportunity came about, Singhvi said, “The organizers wanted a reputable jeweller who could showcase heritage jewellery and gain popularity among the elite crowd. We were their first choice, and we gladly embraced the opportunity to collaborate with them.”
The brand strategically targeted the premium clientele by showcasing its jewellery both on models and at multiple podiums placed around the venue. These podiums displayed various collections with detailed descriptions, while the brand’s team members were on hand to provide insights about the designs.
The showcased pieces included diamond jewellery, designer diamond pieces, antique, heritage and Kundan jewellery. Traditional jewellery was not the primary focus, as the brand aimed to highlight its bridal collection, including a range of lightweight and opulent designs.
With the rising cost of gold and diamonds, the brand focused on creating lighter pieces that maintain their grandeur without being prohibitively expensive. The event proved to be a significant opportunity for the brand to gain visibility among potential clients. Many attendees were surprised to discover a jewellery house in Vellore offering designs comparable to leading brands in metropolitan cities, according to Singhvi.
Champalal Jewellers operates two retail stores—one in Vellore and another in Ambur, Tamil Nadu. While it has no immediate plans to expand beyond South India, the brand is open to future opportunities. Its marketing strategies include a strong social media presence and itsDigiGold app, allowing customers to invest in gold through an SIP model.
