Bluestone appoints Gaurav Sachdeva of Bestseller India as Chief Retail Officer

MUMBAI: Online jewellery retailer, Bluestone has appointed Gaurav Sachdeva as the new Chief Retail Officer. Sachdeva worked with Denmark-based Bestseller Retail for 11 years before this.
With this new appointment, Sachdeva will be responsible for “overseeing BlueStone’s retail operations, with a primary goal to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and ensure profitability across company’s retail channels,” according to a media report.
“I am super excited to join BlueStone,” said Sachdeva.
“I think the luxury and jewellery sectors are fantastic areas to be involved in and have immense growth potential,” Sachdeva was further quoted as saying.
Sachdeva has over 20 years of experience in the fashion and lifestyle retail industry. He had joined Bestseller retail in August 2013 as a national sales head. He was later promoted as head of retail, to oversee exclusive brand outlets (EBO) and shop-in-shops (SIS) for Bestseller brands Jack & Jones, Vero Moda, Only and Selected Homme.
Bluestone sells jewellery online and through offline stores in across 75 cities. It reportedly has 214 stores. The company is looking to raise US$100 mn from Peak XV Partners, Steadview Capital and Think Investments in a pre-IPO round.
