MPJ Jewellers opens 6,500 sq. ft store in Shillong, as part of expansion plan in the North-east

The new outlet is one of the brand’s largest stores in the NE region, where it has grown into a leading regional retail chain

Shillong: MPJ Jewellers recently opened a new large format showroom in Shillong, located on Jail Road, Police Bazar. The 6,500 sq. ft. showroom was inaugurated by singer-songwriter Jessie Lyngdoh from Meghalaya, who is also the face of the brand in the region.

The launch of the showroom highlighted the brand’s strong bond with the local community and its growing popularity in the region. Speaking about the store, Soumik Roy Chowdhury, Managing Director of MPJ Jewellers, said, “We’re thrilled to move to a bigger and better location. This showroom brings together our finest collections, and we hope it brings joy to Shillong. It’s one of our largest in North-east India.” His words reflect the company’s dedication to providing a premium shopping experience and an extensive selection of high-quality jewellery to shoppers in the region.

Looking ahead, MPJ Jewellers has ambitious plans to grow, with a goal of reaching 50 stores in the next two years. This year alone, it plans to open eight new outlets, including locations in the North-east and West Bengal, further strengthening its position as a leading jewellery brand in eastern India.
