Emerald Jewel Founder K Srinivasan richest person in Coimbatore: India Rich List 2020
IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020 featured self-made founders and professional managers, inheritors, CEOs, NRIs, investors, entrepreneurs with a wealth of ₹1,000 crore or more in the country.
With a wealth of over ₹1,500 crore, K Srinivasan and family are the richest persons in Coimbatore, according to the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020 released in September.
K. Srinivasan is the founder and Managing Director of Emerald Jewel Industry India — Coimbatore’s largest jeweller, and one of the biggest in Tamil Nadu.
IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020 featured self-made founders and professional managers, inheritors, CEOs, NRIs, investors, entrepreneurs with a wealth of ₹1,000 crore or more in the country. Kalanithi Maran, executive chairman of Sun TV, continues to be the richest man in Tamil Nadu with a wealth of ₹19,000 crore.
This year the list featured 65 wealthiest individuals in Tamil Nadu and ranked fourth among the states in the list.
For the ninth annual ranking, 828 individuals, including 40 women, across 111 cities have been identified. The average wealth in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich list 2020 is ₹7,300 crore and the average age is 63.
With a wealth of ₹6,58,400 crore, Mukesh Ambani continues to be the richest man in India followed Hinduja brothers with ₹1,43,700 crore wealth and HCL founder Shiv Nadar with ₹1,41,700 crore wealth.
According to the report, the combined wealth of India’s richest is a staggering $823 billion.
