PMC procures 600 vials of Remdesiver from the contribution made by PNG Jewellers
Legacy Jewellery brand from Pune, PNG Jewellers has made a contribution to the Pune Municipal Corporation for the purchase of vials of life saving drug, Remdesivir.
The company handed over a cheque to Mayor Murlidhar Mohol in the presence of Hemant Rasane, Chairman standing committee, Pune Municipal Corporation, Vice Mayor Vadekar Tai, IAS officer and additional commissioner of PMC, Rubal Agarwal and Deepak Pote, Corporator of the Pune Municipal Corporation by Dr. Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director, PNG Jewellers.
The donation will enable the PMC to facilitate 600 vials of Remdesivir to people in dire need of the life saving drug. The said Remdesivir vials will be available to people through government hospitals in Pune.
Saurabh Gadgil said, “We at PNG Jewellers couldn’t stand by and see our state and country being ravaged by the virus. We wanted to help people in whatever way we could. Whether it is to help our employees and karigar family or whether it is people calling us for help to find and arrange for beds, we are putting our best foot forward to support those in need as a responsible corporate house based in Pune. To support our community at large, we decided to contribute to the efforts of the Pune Municipal Corporation to help purchase the life saving drug ‘Remdesivir’. Currently, the people of Pune are facing an acute shortage of the medicine as well as oxygen, oxygen concentrators and other important medical equipment. We are glad to support the good work of the Pune Municipal Corporation in these dire times and will continue to extend our support for any relief measures needed. We will continue our efforts to support people in this time of need.”
