Thrissur – Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has released a teaser video for the #KalyanNavratri celebrations at the Kalyanaraman family residence in Thrissur. The three-minute video showcases the rich cultural festivities, featuring Bachchan reciting a powerful Sanskrit verse from the Devi Mahatmyam, part of the Markandeya Purana. The verse, “Yaa Devi Sarva Bhuteshu, Shakti Roopena Samsthita, Namas Tasyai, Namas Tasyai, Namas Tasyai, Namo Namaha,” honours Goddess Durga as the universal mother and the embodiment of divine energy.
The teaser is enhanced by a stirring musical score composed by Rohan and Vinayak, with Jarvis as the recordist, creating a spiritual ambiance that resonates with the themes of strength, tradition, and beauty central to the Kalyanaraman family.
Bachchan’s video follows a star-studded evening at the Kalyanaraman residence, which attracted notable personalities from Bollywood and South Cinema, including Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Bobby Deol, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Malaika Arora, Naga Chaitanya, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Rashmika Mandanna.
This year’s Navratri theme centers on Lord Rama’s legacy, particularly the moment of breaking the ‘Dhanush Baan’ at Sita Mata’s swayamvar. The celebrations also highlight a young Lord Krishna in his cradle swing, symbolizing divine strength and virtue. Together, these representations of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, manifestations of Lord Vishnu, create a culturally rich and spiritually profound exhibit.
Continuing a cherished tradition, the Kalyanaraman family features the “Bommai Kolu,” a festive display of dolls and figurines. The arrangement of the dolls symbolizes the journey from materialism to spirituality, depicting everyday scenes alongside divine forms of goddesses Saraswati, Parvati, and Lakshmi.
As the festivities unfold, the Kalyanaraman family invites everyone to partake in this vibrant celebration of culture, devotion, and community.
