The two new outlets in Mogappair West and Purasaiwakkam take the retailer’s Tamil Nadu network to 66+ stores
Chennai: Jewellery retailer Thangamayil Jewellery has opened two new showrooms in Chennai, with outlets in Mogappair West and Purasaiwakkam. The stores were inaugurated on August 23, taking the company’s operational network to more than 66 stores across Tamil Nadu.
The Mogappair West showroom is located in Nolambur, while the Purasaiwakkam showroom is located on the Purasaiwakkam High Road, Chennai. The two stores have floor areas of 6,270 sq. ft and 8,746 sq. ft, respectively.
The two new stores take Thangamayil Jewellery’s Chennai presence to 12 showrooms. The Mogappair West outlet is the retailer’s 11th showroom in Chennai, while the Purasaiwakkam outlet is the 12th.
The new stores offer gold, diamond and silver jewellery across categories including bridal jewellery, festive purchases, everyday wear, gifting and special occasions. The company has also introduced opening offers at both showrooms.
Ba. Ramesh, Joint Managing Director, Thangamayil Jewellery, said Chennai is a significant market for the company. The new outlets have been launched to cater to consumer demand in the city across bridal, festive, everyday wear, gifting and special-occasion jewellery.
Headquartered in Madurai, Thangamayil Jewellery became a public limited company in 2007 and listed its shares on the BSE and NSE in 2010. The company operates more than 66 stores across Tamil Nadu, with a total operating area of approximately 1,49,000 sq. ft across the State.
