Mumbai: Luxury jewellery brand Ekaraa incorporated wellness into its retail function by hosting a pilates session at its atelier in association with a holistic fitness brand and women’s organization ‘Ladies Who Lead’. Rather than presenting a conventional product launch for its new Padel Bracelet line, the brand’s attempt was to create an immersive lifestyle experience designed to reflect the evolving expectations of today’s luxury consumer.

According to Mehul Jain, Founder, Ekaraa, the collaboration stemmed from the belief that luxury should be part of everyday living rather than reserved for special occasions. With wellness becoming an increasingly important aspect of modern lifestyles, the pilates session provided an opportunity to engage customers in an environment that embodied the brand’s philosophy. “Wellness has become an integral part of that lifestyle, and we wanted to create an experience that reflected the way today’s woman moves, lives and expresses herself,” said Jain.

The event served as an exclusive preview of Ekaraa’s upcoming Padel Bracelet collection. Instead of displaying the jewellery in showcases, guests wore the bracelets throughout the pilates session, allowing them to experience the collection in motion. “Rather than simply showcasing the collection, we wanted women to experience it firsthand. Watching the bracelets move effortlessly through every stretch and every movement reinforced exactly what they were created for,” Jain explained.

Designed to be lightweight, flexible, adjustable and comfortable, the bracelets were created for women who move effortlessly between work, fitness and social occasions. The choice of pilates was equally intentional. Its emphasis on balance, strength and fluid movement closely mirrors the design philosophy behind the collection, demonstrating how fine jewellery can adapt naturally to an active lifestyle. As Jain stated, “By integrating the jewellery into the experience rather than simply displaying it, guests were able to connect with the collection on a far more personal level. It transformed the launch into something immersive, allowing them to appreciate not just how the bracelets looked, but how they felt to wear.”

Beyond introducing a new collection, the activation reflected a broader evolution in Ekaraa’s retail strategy. By transforming its showroom into a space for wellness and community engagement, the brand sought to create meaningful experiences that encourage authentic interactions rather than purely transactional shopping. Jain believes the future of luxury retail lies in building memorable experiences that foster lasting customer relationships.

The gathering was intentionally intimate, bringing together women entrepreneurs and leaders, existing clients, wellness enthusiasts, creators and members of the ‘Ladies Who Lead’ community. The carefully curated guest list encouraged deeper conversations, meaningful networking and genuine engagement with both the brand and its latest collection.

Although the event was not designed to generate immediate sales, it strengthened relationships with existing and prospective customers while encouraging guests to spend more time within the showroom. The relaxed setting allowed attendees to interact with the team, explore Ekaraa’s bespoke services and gain a deeper understanding of the brand’s design philosophy.

“We saw strong engagement throughout the event, positive word-of-mouth and genuine interest in the collection from attendees. More importantly, it strengthened relationships with both existing and prospective clients, which is something we view as a long-term measure of success. The real value of experiences like these lies in building lasting brand affinity,” said Jain.

Following the positive response, Ekaraa plans to make experiential activations a regular part of its marketing and retail strategy. “Today’s luxury consumer is looking for more than a beautiful product—they’re looking for brands that align with their lifestyle, values and aspirations,” Jain said.
