Surat-based designer Priti Bhatia, Creative Head and Founder of Awesome Sparklers introduced a diamond-embellished brooch titled, Āryāvarta, denoting the power of the Indian Constitution. With the support of the Surat Jewellers Association, Bhatia will present this brooch to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.
The brooch embodies strength, courage and honour, and can be worn for the historical oath-taking ceremony by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and other Cabinet ministers, the designer said.
Combining technique and handcrafted skills, the brooch features the Ashoka Chakra, and when rotated it displays the new Parliament. Designed with 1,200 diamonds totalling 9.5 carats set in rose gold, the brooch demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, expert craftsmanship, and a distinctive design.
Bhatia remarked, “The Surat Jewellers Association was inspired by the structure of the new Parliament and made a replica of it; this inspired me to design the brooch with the same concept. Awesome Sparklers made this brooch in 15 days. It evokes the Make In India logo – that of a lion head, to foster innovation and skill development. The idea is to present this brooch and it should be passed on for generations and worn at the time of the swearing-in ceremony.”
