Republic Day 2024: Zaveri Bros Diamonds and Gold upholds the ‘Indian first’ credo over regional identities in touching Insta post
Retail jewellers across the country celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day in their own ways, from sharing educational materials with schools for the betterment of India’s youth to projecting the tricolour over their showroom facades
Coimbatore: Jewellers across the country revelled in patriotism as they celebrated Republic Day 2024 in multiple ways on January 26, as emotions ran high countrywide on India’s 75th Republic Day.
Coimbatore-based Zaveri Bros Diamonds and Gold posted a touching reel on Instagram, in which the brand’s founder Sangeeta Chetan was seen talking to her team-mates during a flag-hoisting ceremony. She highlighted the emotion of being Indian, irrespective of profession, caste, creed, community or location of residence. “When people used to look at my North Indian appearance at our store in Tamil Nadu, they used to say that I am a ‘Hindu’, i.e., from a Hindi-speaking region. I’ve been in the State for 33 years and I am more from here than any other region in India. I don’t see myself as North or South Indian. I’m a global Indian. I can be in any part of the world and still remain an Indian in my core values, ethics and my heart. So, we need to encourage how we are Indian first irrespective of caste, creed, religion or community. If our children imbibe this virtue, we can take India to great heights,” Chetan declared, indicating the brand’s outlook towards its customers.
Meanwhile, Jos Alukkas distributed educational materials for eight schools in Madurai, and all employees of the Madurai showroom of the brand were invited to take part in the prestigious Republic Day festival of the Madurai Corporation on January 26. In Delhi, PP Jewellers by Pawan Gupta took part in the fervour of patriotism by decking up the interiors of the showroom with the tricolour and also projecting the tricolour majestically across the elaborate LED display above the entrance of the showroom.
In Odisha, Arundhati Jewellers ran ‘The Great India 75th Republic Day Mahotsav’ in which they offered 75% payment on 22KT HUID gold jewellery, 75% of diamond value, and 75% on making charges of silver jewellery. The offer was valid from January 24 to 28, 2024. In Kerala, Joyalukkas is running an R-Day jewellery sale from January 25 to February 18 across all diamond and gold jewellery outlets of the brand, giving a flat 50% off on all diamond, gold and precious jewellery. Many other brands too are offering Republic Day special offers, while several jewellers across India have come out with tricolour-themed jewellery.
