Pune: P N Gadgil & Sons concluded the vibrant third anniversary celebrations of its initiative, the Zapurza Museum of Arts and Culture, with the successful hosting of the Zapurza Arts Festival 2025. Held over two weekends, May 10–11 and May 17–19, the festival brought together diverse art forms and age groups in an immersive cultural showcase.

This year’s edition was specially curated to accommodate the shifting academic calendar, with shorter school vacations and ongoing exams. The spirit of creativity and community thrived as families turned out in large numbers to experience the thoughtfully designed line-up, featuring everything from children’s theatre and dance performances to hands-on sessions in jewellery making, calligraphy, marble and bottle painting, mobile photography, and clay modelling.

The museum, founded by Ajit Gadgil, Chairman of P N Gadgil & Sons Ltd and the brand’s Director Dr Renu Gadgil, continues to grow as a space that celebrates India’s artistic legacy across disciplines. In addition to the existing collection, featuring iconic paintings, sculptures, traditional garments, heritage jewellery, matchbox art, and wooden artefacts, new exhibits were unveiled during the festival, reinforcing Zapurza’s mission of preserving and presenting cultural narratives.

Commenting on it,a spokesperson from PNGS said,“Art becomes meaningful when it resonates across generations. The response to this year’s festival re-affirms the idea that art spaces like Zapurza are not just repositories of history but active participants in shaping community dialogue. We are proud to see Zapurza continue to evolve as a space where stories, traditions and creativity come alive through experience. Zapurza is a living, breathing tribute to the diverse forms of expression that shape our cultural fabric. This year’s festival has reaffirmed our belief that art, when made participative, can inspire curiosity and creativity in people of all ages. That is the legacy we wish to strengthen.”

The five-day festival blended the tactile with the visual. Live pottery demonstrations and block-printing workshops ran alongside guided museum tours, while the auditorium hosted theatrical pieces directed and performed by child artists, an audience favourite. Special care was taken to ensure accessibility, with free entry to all exhibitions and performances, and nominal charges only for select workshops.

The museum will continue to host year-round events and workshops for schools, creative professionals and tourists. With this milestone edition, P N Gadgil & Sons re-asserts its commitment to making art accessible, experiential, and deeply rooted in community engagement.

With over 190 years in the jewellery trade, P N Gadgil & Sons has a strong presence in Maharashtra with 32 stores, along with one store each in Vadodara, Gujarat, and Kalaburgi, Karnataka.
