The new kiosks strengthen the brand’s presence in two high-potential regional jewellery markets, supporting its FY27 expansion strategy focused on deeper market penetration
Pune: Gargi by PNGS from the house of P N Gadgil & Sons has opened two new kiosks in at New Town in Kolkata and Ghaziabad in the National Capital Region (NCR), further expanding its retail footprint in key jewellery consumption markets in the East and North. The new outlets add to the brand’s ongoing expansion drive in the first quarter of FY27.
The two locations have been selected as part of Gargi’s strategy to strengthen its presence in high-potential regional markets. While the NCR remains one of India’s largest organized jewellery markets, Kolkata continues to offer strong opportunities for contemporary and design-led jewellery retail.
The New Town kiosk marks Gargi’s second location in Kolkata, following its launch at Salt Lake in April. Located at City Centre II, one of New Town’s prominent retail destinations, the kiosk is positioned to serve a growing customer base seeking contemporary jewellery options.
The Ghaziabad kiosk further strengthens Gargi’s presence in the NCR. Located at North India Mall in Indirapuram’s Vaibhav Khand, the outlet serves a densely populated residential and commercial catchment and complements the brand’s existing presence across the NCR.
Speaking on the expansion, Aditya Modak, Co-Founder, Gargi by PNGS, said, “North and East India have always been central to how Indians think about jewellery, and these two kiosks are us meeting that culture where it lives. Ghaziabad lets us build real depth in the NCR, while our second Kolkata address tells us the East is responding to what we do — a region we are keen to keep building in.”
“What keeps us confident is that this growth is entirely self-funded and built on a zero-debt balance sheet. With 20 new stores planned for FY27, we are not chasing numbers — we are building a brand, one neighbourhood and one customer at a time.”
The May openings build on Gargi’s strong FY26 performance. The brand closed the year with revenue of Rs 149.47 crore, recording nearly 49% year-on-year growth, and added 32 new stores, taking its network to 126 points of sale across 65 cities and 21 States.
For FY27, Gargi plans to add 20 new stores while targeting a revenue CAGR of approximately 35%. The latest openings reflect the company’s strategy of strengthening its presence in high-potential markets through focused regional expansion.
