Led by Managing Director, Biren Vaidya, the objective of the event was to give potential HNI customers a personalized introduction to the brand within its retail space
Mumbai: The House of Rose recently hosted an exclusive event at its flagship store in Mumbai, led by Managing Director Biren Vaidya, for a select cohort of women from Hyderabad’s social, entrepreneurial and creative circles. Departing from the norm of holding exhibitions targeting potential customers in new cities, the curated event brought the high-net-worth set to the brand’s own store instead. The brand’s aim was to build early relationships with the elite set and seed a customer base in Hyderabad ahead of its upcoming showcase in the city.
The event was all about highlighting the brand’s values and beliefs. “Rather than presenting jewellery in a make-shift retail setting, we wanted guests to understand the deeper philosophy that guides our creations and build a personal connection with the brand as they experience the designs in an experiential retail environment,” said Biren Vaidya, Managing Director, House of Rose.
By engaging prospective clients in an intimate setting, House of Rose was able to gauge preferences, build trust and establish brand familiarity among a discerning audience—an approach increasingly favoured in high-value jewellery categories where purchase decisions are based on understanding of the deeper values that shape a brand.
The immersive evening centred on conversational walkthroughs and a ‘Treasure Chest’ presentation of exceptional pieces, allowing guests to engage closely with the brand’s design, craftsmanship and gemstone narratives in a relaxed, non-transactional environment.
Actor Lakshmi Manchu co-hosted the evening along with Vaidya, and had a strategic role in anchoring the experience, leveraging her strong connect with Hyderabad’s cultural and social ecosystem. Her involvement helped the brand access a highly relevant audience, comprising potential customers who value authenticity, craftsmanship and understated luxury.
Vaidya sees experiential luxury as a pivotal method in fostering intimate relationships with clients, with the brand focusing on creating emotional connections that extend well beyond a purchase. “Luxury is defined by how it makes you feel, not just by what you own. Whether it is discovering the story behind a rare gemstone, understanding the craftsmanship of a piece or sharing conversations with its creator, these moments create lasting relationships,” he said.
The event signals a strategic shift in premium jewellery retail, where brands are increasingly moving towards curated, high-touch interactions. For House of Rose, such initiatives are expected to serve as a foundation for long-term client acquisition, with continued investments planned in private previews, collector evenings, bespoke presentations and intimate conversations with Vaidya.
Established in 1981, the House of Rose has grown into one of India’s foremost luxury jewellery maisons. Under the leadership of Biren and Trisha Vaidya, the House has pioneered immersive experiences that transcend traditional retail. Besides its flagship experiential store at Darabshaw House in Ballard Estate, Mumbai, it has a presence at DLF Emporio in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
