Kushal Kankaria, Chairman, PMJ Jewels, said opening a store in Frisco allows the brand to cater directly to the Telugu community in Dallas, with jewellery rooted in culture and occasion-led demand
Frisco: Heritage jewellery brand PMJ Jewels has officially entered the United States market by opening its first standalone international showroom on June 20, 2026, in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Frisco, Texas. A vibrant ceremony steeped in tradition and festivity marked the store inauguration by former Telangana Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and president-elect of the American Telugu Association (ATA), Satish Reddy, in the presence of Kushal Kankaria, Chairman, PMJ Jewels. The event saw a sizeable turnout of the Telugu diaspora in the region, reflecting the brand’s outreach to the community.
The US store launch represents a significant step in PMJ Jewels’ international expansion strategy, extending its retail network to cater to Indian consumers living overseas, with a focus on cultural and occasion-based jewellery demand.
Kushal Kankaria, Chairman, PMJ Jewels, said, “Today is a moment of immense pride for the entire PMJ family. For over six decades, we have been trusted custodians of Indian heritage and craftsmanship. Opening our doors in Frisco allows us to bring the same legacy of trust, quality, and timeless elegance directly to the Telugu community in Dallas. This showroom is not just a store, it is an extension of home.”
The store will offer a range of jewellery, including bridal collections, occasion-led pieces and designs linked to cultural functions such as half saree and dhoti ceremonies. The assortment is aligned with consumption patterns observed within the Indian diaspora, where jewellery continues to be linked to events and traditions.
Dishu, Director, US Operations, PMJ Jewels, said, “We have worked tirelessly to create a space that reflects both the grandeur of PMJ Jewels and the warmth of Indian hospitality. From exquisite bridal collections to Half Saree, Dhoti function and everyday traditional pieces, every design here carries the soul of our heritage. The overwhelming response from the community today has been truly heartwarming. We are here to serve the Telugu diaspora with the same love and trust that generations have placed in PMJ Jewels.”
As part of the launch, a message from brand ambassador, actor Mahesh Babu, was shared with attendees: “You are away from home. But you need not be away from traditions and jewellery now since PMJ Jewels has a store in Frisco, Dallas.”
Dinesh Kankaria, Managing Director, PMJ Jewels, added, “I sincerely request all our Telugu brothers and sisters in the United States to plan their weekend and visit the PMJ Jewels store in Frisco. Come experience the joy of being surrounded by beautiful traditional and contemporary jewellery. Walk in, feel the warmth, and take home a piece of your roots. At PMJ Jewels, you will always feel at home.”
The two-day programme surrounding the store launch on June 20-21 included jewellery showcases, customer interactions and in-store engagement activities. The launch reflects a retail approach focused on community presence and direct engagement, as the brand builds its position within the Indian diaspora market.
