Swarovski expands Minions association with jewellery range inspired by the characters

The crystal-based designs translate familiar elements from the franchise into a wearable format

Wattens: Swarovski has introduced a jewellery and accessories range inspired by the Minions, extending its collaboration with Illumination, owner of the franchise. The launch brings together the characters’ identities with Swarovski’s design approach and crystal craftsmanship, translating familiar elements from the franchise into wearable formats.

The range draws from both the ‘Despicable Me’ and Minions universe, featuring characters such as Bob, Kevin and Stuart. These figures are interpreted through jewellery designs using Swarovski’s yellow and blue crystals, applied across necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Each piece focuses on character-led detailing, reflecting identifiable visual traits associated with the Minions.

Alongside its core jewellery offering, Swarovski has included three charms, one of which incorporates a banana motif linked to the characters. The range also extends into accessories, with the introduction of a crystal-embellished iPhone case and a Minions-themed bag charm. These additions position the launch across both jewellery and accessory categories, aligning it with licensed entertainment merchandise.

The range has been developed with an emphasis on collectability, targeting both Swarovski’s existing customer base and audiences familiar with the Minions franchise. Packaging forms a key part of the presentation, with each item housed in yellow boxes featuring a goggle-inspired design that references the characters’ visual identity and maintains consistency across the offering.

This release follows the Minions x Swarovski Home Collection introduced in 2025, indicating an ongoing collaboration between Swarovski and Illumination across multiple product segments. The continued partnership reflects a broader shift within the industry, where brands are engaging with entertainment properties to create themed offerings that connect with consumers through recognizable characters and story-telling formats.

The Minions-inspired jewellery and accessories range is being sold across both physical and digital retail channels.

Founded in 1895 in Austria, Swarovski designs, manufactures and retails the finest crystals, Swarovski-created diamonds and zirconia jewellery and accessories, as well as home décor. Swarovski’s crystal business has a global reach with approximately 6,600 points of sale, of which 2,300 are owned stores, in more than 150 countries.
