Bengaluru: Just before Makar Sankranti and Pongal, Kushals Fashion & Silver Jewellery held in-store celebrations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, to which they invited women sanitation workers. The activity focused on acknowledging the role played by these workers in maintaining urban infrastructure.
In Bengaluru, BBMP women pourakarmikas were hosted at the Kathriguppe store. In Hyderabad and Chennai, GHMC and GCC women sanitation workers were welcomed at the Jubilee Hills and Velachery Bypass Road stores. The gatherings were organized to recognize the contribution of women whose work supports daily city operations.
At each location, the women were welcomed into the stores for a Sankranti and Pongal-themed experience. The setting included festival decor and refreshments, followed by jewellery gifting as a gesture of appreciation. Participants were also offered a jewellery styling experience during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Manish Gulechha, CEO, Kushals Fashion & Silver Jewellery, said, “Makar Sankranti is a festival that marks a season of gratitude, and new beginnings.
