The revamped store situated in Kankarbagh locality has dedicated silver and 18kt gold jewellery sections. According to the brand, while silver jewellery is gaining traction, not many Patna jewellers set up display zones for it, and it therefore spotted an opportunity
Patna: Sagarmal Jewellers has relaunched its store in Kankarbagh, Patna after extensive renovation and expansion. Originally opened in 2021, the store has now been expanded from 4,000 sq. ft to 12,000 sq. ft, which, according to the brand, is one of the largest jewellery retail spaces in the State.

The expansion aligns with the brand’s long-term growth strategy to strengthen its footprint in emerging neighbourhoods. “When we first opened in Kankarbagh, there were only two other jewellers in the area. Today, there are nearly seven, and more are on the way. We saw that customers were seeking variety and a better in-store experience, and that required more space and better display planning,” said Ankit Agarwal, Director, Sagarmal Jewellers.
The revamped store spans four floors, with each level dedicated to a distinct jewellery category. The most notable addition is a 2,800 sq. ft floor exclusively for silver jewellery and silver articles — a first for the jeweller. Agarwal observed that while silver jewellery is gaining traction, few jewellers in the city had invested in dedicated display zones for it. “Patna lacked a trusted, organized space for silver jewellery and items. We wanted to fill that gap and make silver a visible, aspirational category within our store,” he added.

The relaunch also introduces a separate 18kt gold jewellery section, catering to changing price sensitivities amid the rising gold rates. By focusing on lightweight and pocket-friendly pieces, the brand has managed to sustain demand even during market fluctuations. “We were already selling 18kt jewellery, so our customers were familiar with that segment. The recent expansion allowed us to create a dedicated floor where customers can explore more options without compromising on design or purity,” Agarwal noted.
In addition to silver and 18kt collections, the store now houses an expanded polki and bridal section, reducing the need for customers to travel outside the State for specialized designs. With improved zoning, curated displays, and wider product depth, the relaunch reflects Sagarmal Jewellers’ intent to evolve with Patna’s fast-growing jewellery retail landscape.
Sagarmal Jewellers has three stores – two in the capital Patna and one in Nawada, Bihar.
