At the Palette Pop event in Kochi with an audience of 300+ women entrepreneurs, the brand introduced its jewellery redesign services by asking visitors whether they were tired of wearing the same jewellery for years, and encouraged them to reset old ornaments
Kochi: Genesis Diamonds by Deepak Toms recently partnered with Palette Pop, a women-led platform bringing together entrepreneurs and creative businesses. The event featured five women entrepreneurs presenting their work to the community. It drew more than 300 participants, creating a strong opportunity for the brand to directly interact with a relevant audience.
According to Tessa Davis, Managing Director, Genesis Diamonds by Deepak Toms, the decision to come on board was driven by both the nature of the event and the opportunity it presented. “This was an event conducted by women for women entrepreneurs, which aligned naturally with our customer base. It also gave us a chance to meet a new set of customers through an expo format and focus on brand building.”
Genesis Diamonds was the only diamond jewellery brand at the event, sharing space with clothing and lifestyle businesses. The audience consisted largely of women aged 40 and above, a demographic the brand specifically wanted to connect with. The team used the platform to introduce its custom jewellery redesign services, asking visitors whether they were tired of wearing the same jewellery for years. “We encouraged them to bring in their old jewellery to be reset or redesigned. Many showed us pictures of their ornaments at the event, shared the stories behind them, and were invited to visit our store for detailed consultations,” said Davis.
The event was inaugurated by social media influencer Maria Dominic, whose presence added to the engagement. She also visited the brand’s store later to discuss custom designs.
Genesis Diamonds’ participation was aimed at building relationships rather than driving immediate sales, although some bookings for items such as nose pins and earrings were made for post-event purchase. “Jewellery is closely connected with women, so platforms like Palette Pop give us a chance to meet more women, hear their design ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations,” Davis added.
Through this collaboration, Genesis Diamonds has been able to reach a wider audience, particularly those with an interest in custom diamond jewellery, while strengthening its presence in a community-focused business environment.
Operating from its flagship store in Kochi, Genesis Diamonds is an initiative of Deepak Toms Diamonds, a leading gold and diamond jewellery group based in Kerala.
