IIG, The Designer’s Class tie up to make global gemology education accessible online
The courses offered under this collaboration include Jewellery Design By Hand, Gems and Jewellery Retail Merchandising and Management, Diamond Graduate Online, and Lab-Grown Diamonds Online
Mumbai: The Designer’s Class (TDC) collaborated with the International Institute of Gemology (IIG) to offer a range of online jewellery design and business management courses. This partnership aims to make high-quality jewellery education accessible to students globally.
The occasion was graced by Surendra Mehta, National Secretary, Indian Bullion and Jewellery Association (IBJA). Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, who could not attend the event, said, “The collaboration between the International Institute of Gemology (IIG) and The Designer’s Class is a testament to their commitment to the gem and jewellery industry. This partnership will empower aspiring designers with cutting-edge skills and knowledge, ushering in a new era of creativity and craftsmanship in the industry.”
The new courses offered by TDC via this collaboration include ‘Jewellery Design By Hand’, ‘Gems and Jewellery Retail Merchandising and Management’, ‘Diamond Graduate Online’, and ‘Lab-Grown Diamonds Online’. Taught by experts from IIG and seasoned jewellery designers from ‘The Designers Class, these courses cover fundamental jewellery design techniques, gemology, diamond grading, retail management, merchandising, and lab-grown diamonds.
“Our partnership with The Designers Class will help disseminate IIG’s high standards of gemology and jewellery education to eager learners across the globe,” said Rahul Desai, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, IIG.
The Designer’s Class offers over 15 design courses in diverse disciplines taught by top designers and industry experts. IIG is globally recognized for its Gem and Jewellery diploma programs and intensive short courses. The newly launched courses are now open for enrolment on The Designer’s Class website.
