The jewellery line features Rajwada jewellery in association with Bohurupi Santiniketan, a Kolkata-based traditional clothing label
Kolkata: Senco Gold & Diamonds recently released a video campaign on their sub-brand, D’Signia’s Rajwada collection. The jewellery line features Rajwada jewellery in association with Bohurupi Santiniketan, a Kolkata-based traditional clothing label.
The theme focuses on Saptapadi or the seven marital vows, as showcased in the video, starring actor Ishaa Saha. The video, which has received over 34,500 likes within only 6 days of release, reimagines Santiniketan, a town famous for poet Rabindranath Tagore and artist Nandalal Bose, bringing forth the glimpses of Brahmo marriage.
The rituals, customs, and beliefs are aptly showcased as the on-screen characters of Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Ishaa Saha celebrate love, commitment, and spirituality amidst chants of Sanskrit hymns, the white floral platform, the chandeliers, the ‘alpona’ painted floor, and a marvellous accompaniment of Tagore’s songs performed by Durnibar Saha, Iman Chakraborty, and Srijan Chatterjee.
The couple is seen taking the seven vows (Saptapadi) in this ethereal sequence of the wedding fashion-musical saga. Some of the highlights of the ad film are the ancient alpona forms by Bohurupi Santiniketan.
The ad film is a testament to Senco Gold & Diamonds’ commitment to West Bengal’s culture. With bridal jewellery flaunted by Ishaa Saha, the film subtly weaves the design aesthetics of the brand and showcases a range that can be highly popular among their Bengali jewellery clientele.
