The company stated that 9kt gold offers a practical option for daily wear and aligns with changing purchasing patterns
Ahmedabad: Satva Gold, a gold supplier and manufacturer, has entered the direct-to-consumer retail segment with the launch of a 9kt gold jewellery format.
The company supplies gold jewellery to more than 10,000 retailers across India. With this move, Satva Gold is adopting an omnichannel model to sell directly to customers through physical stores and online platforms. The expansion adds to the brand’s wholesale supply B2B network.
The retail format will focus exclusively on 9kt gold jewellery. While most jewellers in India offer multiple purity options, Satva Gold has chosen to concentrate on a single karat category. The company stated that 9kt gold offers a practical option for daily wear and aligns with changing purchasing patterns.
Satva Gold plans to open 21 retail stores across India by 2027. The stores will feature collections developed in line with current consumer demand, particularly among younger buyers seeking lightweight and functional pieces. The company will draw on its existing manufacturing network and supply chain to support the rollout.
The company’s management indicated that its manufacturing scale and sourcing capabilities will enable consistency in production and pricing. By entering retail, Satva Gold aims to expand its market presence beyond wholesale distribution and build a consumer-facing brand.
The launch comes at a time when jewellery companies are exploring new formats and price segments to widen their customer base. With its 9kt-focused retail strategy, Satva Gold is positioning itself within this evolving landscape while leveraging its established backend operations.
The company’s retail and digital plans are expected to roll out in phases as it builds its footprint in key markets across the country.
