Spread across 9,500 sq. ft. and four floors, the new store brings the brand’s full category mix closer to West Patna customers while expanding lightweight designs and building visibility for silver jewellery
Patna: Sagarmal Jewellers has recently added a third store in Patna with the opening of its new outlet at Jagdev Path on Bailey Road. With this, the brand now operates four stores overall, including its presence in Nawada, continuing its steady expansion within Bihar.
Jagdev Path, located along Bailey Road near Khajpura and Ashiana More, is part of West Patna’s more established residential belt, with strong connectivity to both the city centre and suburban pockets such as Danapur and Phulwari Sharif.
The choice of location reflects a clear intent. The new store taps into an existing customer base in West Patna, improving access to a catchment that was already engaging with the brand.
The store is spread across approximately 9,500 sq. ft. and four levels, with a straightforward category-wise layout. The ground and first floors house gold jewellery, including 18kt, 22kt, and antique collections. The second floor is dedicated to diamond and polki jewellery, while the third floor features a separate section for silver jewellery.
Silver jewellery, which already forms part of the brand’s assortment, has also been given clearer visibility in this store through a dedicated section. The category is seeing encouraging traction, and the brand appears to be responding by organising it more prominently within the retail environment.
Commenting on the response, Ankit Agarwal, Director, Sagarmal Jewellers said, “The response has been very good; better than we expected. Customers from this area earlier had to travel quite a bit to reach our Kankarbagh store. Now that we are closer, they are very content, and we are seeing strong appreciation for the new store.”
While the overall merchandising remains consistent with its other stores, the Jagdev Path outlet reflects a more calibrated push in certain categories. The range of lightweight jewellery has been expanded, keeping in line with current buying preferences for more wearable designs. At the same time, the polki section has been given a more defined space within the store, allowing for a more focused customer experience.
The early traction suggests that proximity continues to play a key role in jewellery retail, especially in markets where trust and familiarity are already established. With this launch, Sagarmal Jewellers is not changing its retail format, but strengthening it—by going deeper into the same market, with sharper category focus and better access.
