The first event took place at the brand’s Alkapuri store in Vadodara, while the remaining ones were organized at Ahmedabad, Surat and Anand
Vadodara: R Narayan Jewellers recently hosted a series of piercing party events across Gujarat, bringing customers together for jewellery shopping and live piercing experiences in a relaxed setting. The first event took place at the brand’s Alkapuri store in Vadodara, while the remaining ones were organized at different venues across the State, such as Ahmedabad, Surat and Anand.
Through the initiative, customers were invited to choose from a range of 22kt gold and 9.25 silver wire earrings before getting pierced on the spot by trained professionals. The events attracted both existing customers and new visitors looking for a different kind of retail experience. The event was open to all, with no prior registration required, allowing visitors to walk in with friends and family.
Unlike conventional piercing with guns, the procedure was carried out directly using the brand’s wire earrings selected by customers. The piercing service itself was free, with attendees only paying for the earrings they picked. Prices for 22kt gold earrings started from Rs 2,500 per pair, while 92.5 silver options started from Rs 800 onwards. Alongside the piercing experience, visitors were also offered refreshments, creating a more casual and community-like atmosphere around the event.
The initiative also gained visibility through its collaboration with a popular regional social media influencer and digital content creator, helping the events reach a wider and younger audience across Gujarat. Social media content from the events featured customers and visitors sharing their piercing experience, giving the campaign a more personal feel while also increasing online engagement around the brand.
The attendee mix included both first-time customers getting their ears pierced and consumers looking to add new piercings or experiment with different styles. The format also encouraged participation from men, widening the appeal of the event beyond its traditional customer base.
The piercing party was more than just a promotional activity. It created an opportunity for customers to interact with the brand in an informal and experience-focused environment while also introducing them to its everyday wearable jewellery collections in gold and silver.
As jewellery retailers continue looking for newer ways to bring younger consumers into stores, interactive formats such as piercing events are increasingly becoming a practical way to combine product discovery, customer engagement, and social media visibility within the retail space.
R Narayan Jewellers, which has been in operation for over 80 years, runs its original and only store in Alkapuri, Vadodara.
