By organizing such activities, the brand aims to encourage continued participation in environmental efforts while reinforcing its connection with its audience beyond retail
Mumbai: World Environment Day often leads to conversations about change, but jewellery start-up Palmonas focused on action. On a Sunday morning in Mumbai, the brand brought its community together at Juhu Beach with the aim of leaving the beachfront in a better condition.
Participants came together and engaged in conversations while working towards a shared task. Over a period of around 60 minutes, volunteers used gloves and masks to collect waste across a section of the beach. The activity was carried out in a structured manner, with each participant contributing to the clean-up process.
The volunteers who took part in the initiative collected over 650 kilograms of waste. The effort highlighted the scale of waste accumulation along coastal areas and the role of community participation in addressing it. The activity also created interaction among participants.

For Palmonas, the initiative extended beyond a clean-up exercise. It aimed to create a platform for people to come together and take part in a shared responsibility. The focus remained on participation, engagement, and collective effort rather than a one-day observance.
“We wanted to create an experience that encouraged people to step outside, connect with one another, and contribute to a cleaner future,” says Pallavi Mohadikar, Founder, Palmonas. “Community for us goes beyond jewellery, it’s about what we do together and the impact we can create collectively.”
The initiative reflects an approach where community engagement is integrated with broader social responsibility. By organizing such activities, the brand aims to encourage continued participation in environmental efforts while reinforcing its connection with its audience beyond retail.
Founded in 2022 by Pallavi Mohadikar and Amol Patwari, and later joined by co-founder Shraddha Kapoor, Palmonas functions as an omnichannel jewellery brand, retailing its collections through both digital platforms and physical outlets. Palmonas has been steadily building its offline presence through exclusive brand outlets in key urban markets.
