The first edition of ‘Visionaari Awards’ was held across Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, with participation driven through radio, social media and in-store communication
Kolkata: P.C. Chandra Jewellers has introduced the ‘Visionaari Awards’ as its first all-India initiative aimed at recognizing women from diverse fields while creating a structured customer engagement platform across its key markets.
Launched as an annual property, the awards focus on identifying women who have created measurable impact across sectors such as sports, entertainment, social enterprise and entrepreneurship. The initiative also includes a category recognizing men who have played a defining role in supporting a woman’s journey.
The debut edition of Visionaari Awards was held across Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, with participation driven through radio, social media and in-store communication. Entries were routed through Fever FM, enabling wider access and participation beyond the brand’s existing customer base while remaining anchored to its core markets.
Uday Kumar Chandra, Managing Director, P.C. Chandra Jewellers, said, “Visionaari Awards is our way of recognizing women who are creating real impact in their respective fields. As a retailer, we see this as an opportunity to build a deeper and more meaningful connection with our customers beyond transactions.”
The selection process involved jury evaluation, with three winners identified in each category. These winners were further recognized under three sub-categories, namely Eternal, Radiant and Luminary, reflecting different dimensions of achievement and influence. This structure allows the platform to acknowledge varied journeys within the same category while expanding the overall pool of honorees.
The brand integrated the award property into its store environments through standees and WhatsApp communication. This helped connect outreach with in-store engagement, keeping the brand at the centre of conversations within its store catchment areas.
Chandra said, “The response has been encouraging across cities, especially with the mix of digital and in-store participation. It allows us to engage with customers at multiple touchpoints while also building relevance within the communities we operate in.”
The awards concluded with 45 women recognized across the three cities, with physical award ceremonies held on April 24 in Mumbai and on April 25 at New Delhi and Bengaluru.
While positioned as a recognition platform for women, the Visionaari Awards also reflect a broader shift in how jewellery retailers approach customer engagement. The focus is moving beyond short-term campaigns towards such platforms that involve participation and deeper engagement over time. In this case, the combination of open nominations, jury validation and physical recognition creates multiple points of interaction with the brand.
Founded in 1939, P.C. Chandra Jewellers operates 75+ showrooms across India, with a strong presence in West Bengal.
