With its first store at HSR Layout in the city, the fine lab-grown diamond jewellery brand introduces an open, counter-free retail format designed to enable independent browsing and a more relaxed in-store experience
Bengaluru: Timanti has launched its first store in Bengaluru, selecting HSR Layout for its entry into the market. The launch reflects a shift in how jewellery retail environments are being designed in response to changing consumer behaviour.
The 1,100 sq ft space has been developed without traditional counters or guided pathways. Instead, the store relies on low-height display systems and uninterrupted sightlines, allowing customers to move through the space freely rather than follow a predefined route.

Design plays a central role in shaping the in-store experience. Muted tones and diffused lighting have been used to maintain a controlled, uncluttered setting, with the layout encouraging customers to spend more time within the space instead of engaging in quick, transaction-focused visits.
The concept has been led by Shweta Singla, whose experience spans over two decades across design, international merchandising, and consulting, including associations with Swarovski. The brand’s positioning moves away from occasion-based buying, framing jewellery instead as a personal and everyday purchase.

This thinking extends to the way the store is structured. There is no defined customer journey or prioritisation of specific collections, allowing visitors to explore the offering independently—an approach that aligns with increasingly self-directed purchase behaviour.
Located in HSR Layout, an area with a high concentration of working professionals and entrepreneurs, the store is positioned to engage a consumer base that values flexibility and a more personalised retail experience.
