Kishandas & Co. strengthens luxury positioning with partnership at Hyundai India Couture Week

The brand collaborated with designer Jayanti Reddy, complementing the tone and structure of her garments with its jewellery, for the premium event. The partnership allowed Kishandas & Co. to hold up jewellery as a central design element within a couture runway narrative

New Delhi: Leading heritage jewellery house Kishandas & Co. recently partnered with designer Jayanti Reddy at the high-end Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, presented by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The brand’s jewellery was showcased through Reddy’s latest couture collection, HeerNaaz, which drew from traditional design influences and interpreted them through a modern lens.

The jewellery curated for the show complemented the tone and structure of Reddy’s garments, aligning each piece with the theme and flow of the collection. From necklaces and earrings to hand accessories, each element was developed to support the designer’s aesthetic direction. The integration of jewellery and clothing aimed to reflect how both crafts can function together to tell a cohesive story on the runway.

This partnership marked another instance of Kishandas& Co. aligning its heritage-driven design philosophy with contemporary couture presentations. The focus was on precision, cultural relevance and maintaining continuity between jewellery and textile craftsmanship. The show featured models wearing pieces that were specifically matched with outfit silhouettes, fabric types and styling choices, emphasizing the idea that jewellery is an essential extension of the garment rather than a separate accessory.

The event attracted a mix of industry professionals, influencers, stylists, and high-end consumers. The collaboration with Jayanti Reddy allowed Kishandas& Co. to engage with a couture-focused audience and position its brand within the context of high fashion while remaining rooted in traditional craftsmanship.

Beyond the couture week, Kishandas & Co. has continued to build its presence by way of meaningful associations. Most recently, the brand collaborated with film director Mani Ratnam to develop jewellery for the film Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan. Thug Life, a period-set crime drama, explores themes of love, destiny and mortality, where jewellery was used to help establish time, tone and character depth. This follows the brand’s earlier work with the famed director on Ponniyin Selvan 2 in 2023.

Kishandas & Co was founded by the legendary Harlochandas, jeweller to the Nizam and a master of heritage design, and has evolved through four generations. The founder’s grandson, Krishnadas, elevated the brand to new heights and now mentors his sons to continue the legacy. Pratiksha Prashant, daughter-in-law of Das and CEO of the company, has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s legacy.
