Kakun Fine Jewellery links jewellery with nature in experiential retail initiative at its showroom

Lucknow: Kakun Fine Jewellery recently associated with an entrepreneur in Lucknow, for an in-store initiative titled ‘Kakun Fine Jewellery ft. The Garden Concept by Rashmi Vaid’, reflecting a shift towards experience-led retail. The event brought together jewellery and plants in one setting, connecting Kakun’s offerings with a favourite lifestyle element.

During the session, participants created customized bonsai planters by working on cemented bases finished with tiles, arranging the soil, plants, and decorative elements, and assembling the entire set-up themselves in front of customers to complete a ready-to-display planter.The concept was built on linking jewellery with nature, allowing customers to experience both in a single environment. By introducing sucha conceptwithin its retail space, Kakun created a new way for customers to interact with its collections. Instead of focusing on product presentation alone, the initiative encouraged interaction.

Aditi Gupta, Founder, Kakun Fine Jewellery, said, “The core idea behind this initiative was to bring together nature, creativity and community. Partnering with Rashmi Vaid’s nursery-based venture allowed us to highlight the connection between natural elements and artistic craftsmanship.” This aligned with Kakun’s focus on drawing inspiration from organic forms, where motifs often reflect elements found in nature.

The event was structured as a small-format gathering, allowing for direct interaction and engagement. It supported conversations around design process and inspiration, creating a setting where customers could engage with the brand beyond product viewing. Jewellery was integrated into the experience by way of its nature-inspired themes, creating a dialogue about crafted pieces and living elements.

“The initiative helped us present the brand in a setting that reflects our design philosophy. The response was encouraging, with participants engaging with the concept and appreciating how they experienced our jewellery in a different environment.” This response indicates that customers are receptive to formats that combine multiple areas of interest, especially when presented in a cohesive manner.

The initiative also enabled Kakun to extend its reach into a lifestyle-oriented audience segment. By working with a nursery entrepreneur, the brand accessed a community that engages with themes such as mindful living and creativity. This helped Kakun enter a wider cultural space, beyond its category-defined identity.

From a retail perspective, initiatives like this support customer engagement through participation, rather than just engaging with the jewellery on display. When customers interact with a brand through shared activities, it creates familiarity that develops over time. When retailers connect with audiences through their areas of interest, it makes the engagement more intentional. As a result, brands are able to build strong relationships that can influence future purchase decisions.

For Kakun Fine Jewellery, the nursery initiative demonstrated how curated experiences can draw customers, while introducing the brand through contexts that extend beyond the store environment.
